Mildly toxic by ingestion. Slowly absorbed by the alimentary tract. Beacuse of osmotic activity, it will draw water into the lumen of the bowl and may cause purging, fluid loss, blood in stools, fall of blood pressure and high levels of sodium in blood. Eye

Swallowed

3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

3.3 Personal Protection
Contact with skin, eyes, and inhalation of dust/vapours must be strictly avoided Use only in a well ventilated area. Wear cotton gloves. In the absence of adequate ventilation, and/or exposure exceeds the TLV, wear air-supplied or combination organic vapour/acid gas respirator with a dust and mist prefilter. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling and before work breaks, eating, drinking, smoking and using toilet facilities. Prevent concentration in hollows and sumps. 4.3 Spills and Disposal
Spills
Clean up personnel should wear full protective clothing. DO NOT discharge into drains, waterways, sewers or the environment.
Ventilate area of leak or spill. Sweep up and containerise for reclammation or disposal. Vacuuming or wet sweeping may be used to avoid dust dispersal.

Dispose of in accordance with all Local, State and Federal regulations at an approved waste disposal facility.
4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD Fire / Explosion
Product does not burn. Hazardous decomposition products include oxides of sulphur and sodium. In combination with sodium sulphate, aluminium and magnesium will explode at 800 deg C, strong mineral acids and bases. Conditons to avoid - air, moisture and incompatibles.
