Causes skin irritation and burns which may not be immediately evident. Dust is corrosive to the skin. Inhaled
Corrosive to respiratory tract including mucous membranes, throat and lungs. 2.2 Health Effects - Chronic
Causes severe eye, skin and mucous membrane irritations which may not be immediately evident. Can cause fluoride poisoning.
2.3 First Aid
Swallowed
Medical treatment is required as soon as possible. If swallowed give 1-3 cups of water to drink. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
Eye
Contamination of the eyes must be treated by thorough irrigation with water, with the eyelids held open. A Doctor (or eye specialist) should be consulted immediately.
Skin
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water. Apply calcium gluconate gel to the affected area(s), rub in until locally free of pain and then continue for a further 15 minutes. If possible apply a dressing soaked in 20% calcium gluconate solution. If burns cover more than area of the hand (approx 150 cm2) 6 effervescent calcium pills (400mg calcium per pill) must be dissolved in water and taken orally. his dose should be repeated every 2 hours until the patient is in hospital. If burns cover large areas patient should be completely bathed in at least 1% calcium gluconate solution.
Inhaled
Remove victim to an uncontaminated area immediately. Avoid becoming casualty. Seek medical advice at once. After inhalation, take calcium tablets as for skin contact. Medical treatment is required as soon as possible.
First Aid Facilities
Ensure an eye bath and safety shower are available and ready for use.

3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
3.1 Exposure Standards
Worksafe recommends the following exposure standard : Fluorides (as F) : TWA 2.5 mg/m3
3.2 Engineering Controls
Ensure adequate ventilation to maintian exposure levels below standards.
3.3 Personal Protection
Respiratory - wear an approved dust mask or respirator. Avoid dust inhalation. Eyes - wear chemical goggles. Skin - wear rubber or neoprene gloves and body protection as necessary to minimise skin contact.
3.4 Flammability
Material is non-flammable SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

4.3 Spills and Disposal
Spills
Personnel should wear full protective clothing and breathing apparatus. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes.
Small spills - collect spilled material carefully. Neutralise with alkaline material and hold for waste disposal. Large spills - contain and/or collect spilled material carefully. Neutralise with alkaline material and hold for waste disposal.
Disposal
Dispose of in accordance with all Local, State and Federal regulations at an approved waste disposal facility.
4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD Fire / Explosion
Not a fire or explosion hazard, but may release toxic emissions if involved in a fire. Personnel should wear approved self-contained breathing apparatus. Thermal decomposition begins at 230 deg C. Hazardous decomposition products include Hydrogen Fluoride and Ammonia. Evolves hydrogen on contact with non- noble metals (eg. iron, zinc, aluminium). Reacts violently with alkalis. With concentrated acids formation of hydrogen fluoride. With concentrated alkalis formation of ammonia.
Extinguishing Media
Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Use equipment/media appropriate to surrounding fire conditions. 5 OTHER INFORMATION
