USES: IT IS MAINLY USED AS A SWEETENER FOR THE FOOD AND MEDICAL INDUSTRY.
(1). BE USED IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY: THE ANTICARIES ACTION OF XYLITOL IS BETTER THAN THOSE OF FRUCTOSE AND CANE SUGAR, BECAUSE IT CAN NOT BE USED BY BACTERIA THAT MAY CAUSE CARIES.IT DOES NOT PRODUCE ANY ACIDS IN THE MOUTH CAVITY, THEREFORE IT MAY HELP THE MOUTH CAVITY NEUTRAL AND PROTECT TEETH FORM ACIDIC EROSION.IN VIEW OF THIS, XYLITOL IS WIDELY USED AS A SWEETENER IN THE ANTICARIES FOODS.
(2). IT HAS A KIND OF FRESHNESS AND SWEET TASTE.WHEN HEATED,IT DOES NOT GO BROWNING,IT IS STABLE IN THE NATURE AND CAN ABSORB THE MOISTURE.AND IT CAN NOT BE FERMENTED BY YEASTS.DUE TO THESE CHARACTERS,IT CAN BE USED AS A SWEETENER FOR SOFT PASTRIES,CANDIES,CHOCOLATE FOODS AND CANNED BEVERAGES.IN THIS CASE,THE SOFTNESS MAY LAST LONGER THAN CANE SUGAR IS USED ,AND THUS THE SHELF LIFE IS EXTENDED.
